Happy New Year!!!

Wow It's been crazy busy the past couple of weeks with Christmas gatherings and get togethers. Kids are doing great and we ahve had a very blessed year.

Hope everyone has a spectacular New Year and I promise, there will be some art to come.

Warm up

Ok, I'm not sure what the creature is but it was a fun warmup for what is looking like yet another grey rainy cold day.

Hot off the presses

Just finished this request for my wife. Now if I can finish the other 15,000 requests, wish all of them were drawing.

Those grey wintertime days

Strange thing about the SouthEast, when winter comes the wind picks up and the clouds roll in. It seems like there is nothing but grey cloudy days. Which of course, makes me think of the beach and warm fun times.

Here are a few sketches from the past couple of days. Some just for fun, others are roughs for pieces I plan to color.

Style change

Work on the new website is progressing which is why I have updated the blog with these colors and the new header image. Website will hopefully be live in a couple of weeks, after that it will be on to the 2009 marketing materials. :)

Yah I know don't seem to post as normally as I should. Here are some sketches for a few things I am working on. 

New Site Design

Trying to make a new web site for myself. I want the design to feel a little more like a solid illustration but still be simple and easy to see my work. These are a couple of sketches.

Tuesday Update

Ok, have a warm up sketch and then after taking my son to daycare I realized my freshly shaved head was making it feel about 30 degrees cooler outside.

I'm a loser

Sheesh, finals week where I teach snuck up on me. Yes I have drawings but nothing posted. I will get something up here soonish.

Just a page today, too much going on with M.A. class and actual work. But at least that is 2 posts in one week, even though nobody views this blog.

Facebook Sketches

My wife got me using Facebook, and I have found so many old friends. Many folks have photos on there and some of them are too funny not to draw. So I decided to start drawing a facebook sketch per week. Not sure about adding color to them at this time.

New Blog

Starting a new blog since my old one is so unused I can't even log into it easily. I will find out how and place a post redirecting to this blog.

I work as an instructor at ITT Technical Institute, I also work as a professional Illustrator, Character Designer and Concept Artist. Currently I am obtaining my M.A. in Illustration Design from SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design).

I will use this blog to show my student projects as well as personal art and sketches.
